About Me
I grew up in Newport Beach, California with missionary parents. Their work took us to many places where I met a variety of people. I found those who seemed most content in life carried a joy which could persist through immense hardship. This got me thinking: where does enduring joy come from?
After high school I moved to Paris for college. During these years my search for "enduring joy" guided me to choose Philosophy and Psychology as my majors.
After university, I moved to The French Basque Country to teach English. Here I found joy through Connection with the environment, myself, and especially others.
This was joy, but it wasn't enduring. I needed something engaging, I needed a work. This led me to Birmingham, United Kingdom where I took up an MA in Ethics and Philosophy of Religion. I found joy in crafting complex arguments and conducting philosophy to great lengths. I experienced joy through Creation.
I loved philosophy, but much of it is done in isolation. I found joy in Creation but lost the Connection. For this reason, amongst others, I decided to change direction. I needed something which allowed me to work with others and create using logic, like in philosophy.
My answer came in the form of an ad: “The University of Birmingham Coding Bootcamp”. Coding ticked these boxes. I applied and spent the following 6 months becoming a full-stack website developer. I employed logic with my fellow bootcampees creating apps and websites. I found joy in Collaboration.
Still, something was missing. Joy left me at the end of bootcamp. So, I sold my car and traveled for 6 months to soul search. I concluded I lacked Purpose. Purpose would anchor Connection, Creation, and Collaboration, and cause joy to endure. Where could I find Purpose?
TheBaerBønes was my answer. I realized, a personal brand could anchor my joys in something I can forever grow. It would allow me to consistently connect, create, and collaborate with others. Together, we could build their purpose into a personal brand which would fulfill us both.

Qualifications
CTO at Vinissimo
I am the current CTO for a beverage inventory SAAS start-up in Italy, called Vinissimo. I am the primary UI/UX Designer and Frontend Engineer. I also manage the tech team as a whole.
Freelance UI/UX & Software Engineer
Before starting TheBaerBønes, I was contracted to create, design, and manage websites and software for Interior Design, Music Production, Musical Talent Acquisition, Chamber of Commerce, Agritourism, Demolition, Construction, Artisan Catering, European Cooking Course, and Vacation Rental companies.
MA Philosophy
I received an MA in Philosophy with a focus on Ethics and Philosophy of Religion from the top Philosophy department in the UK during my year.*
My experience in philosophy translates to organization, efficient coding practices, and understanding the thought processes of those I work with.
BA Psychology & Philosophy
Double major in Psychology and Philosophy from The American University of Paris.
Psychology has helped me understand what drives people. This translates to branding and websites attracting their desired audiences.
1200 Hours 1-to-1 Teaching
I've spent nearly 1200 hours teaching English, Philosophy, Psychology, French, and Spanish in a 1-to-1 format.
